Camp Zacchaeus

 

 

Dear Parents,
     Ten Years. That is how long Camp Zacchaeus has been providing a wonderful and spiritually uplifting summer camp experience for the Church of Altoona-Johnstown. Since its inception over a decade ago, Camp Z has touched the lives of over a thousand young people throughout our diocese and beyond. It has helped them develop personally and grow spiritually, and they have had a great time doing it.
     The mission of Camp Z is to encourage our children to live the "abundant life" Jesus has promised us (John 10:10.) We do this not only through lively liturgies, powerful prayer, and creative catechesis, but through experience the presence of God in nature, ourselves and each other. Camp Z provides a unique opportunity for your child to explore who they, are and their relationship with God in a safe environment filled with fun games and activities.
 

        If your child has been a part of Camp Z before, you know what an awesome adventure camp is. If not, we encourage you to consider sending your child to experience a week full of fun, faith and friendship. I promise it will be a summer memory they will not soon forget!
